Are We Holy or Sinful; an Ambiguous Question
Child of
God’s spiritual being is holy; while our physical being is sinful
1. Understanding our
spiritual being, our physical being
1a. Believers’ spiritual beings (soul, spirit, heart part of spirit)
are holy
1b. Our spiritual
being; our soul, spirit, heart
2. Believers’ physical being (body, mind,
conscience part of mind) are sinful; sin causes death
2a. Our physical
being (body, mind, conscience)
3. Temple in Jerusalem;
symbolic of how our spiritual being and physical being are separated
4. Parents reproduce our mortal,
sinful physical being;
Spirit creates our holy,
eternal, mature spiritual
being
It is impossible for a mortal human
physical being which is reproduced; to create an eternal
spiritual being!!!
5. How we become holy children of God;
heirs of Heaven
5a. Believers’ child saved from life to
mature youth – including miscarriage,
abortion, young child dies
5b. Can renew or receive
Holy Spirit from young child to youth, when mind becomes hostile
5c. When unbelievers’ mind is mature and
responsible; must be born again
5d. Our spiritual
being (soul, spirit, heart part of spirit)
saves us
5e. Our physical
being (body, mind, conscience part of mind)
was made to love God; do good works
6. How we can lose the indwelling of the
Spirit; once saved always saved is incorrect
7. How our spiritual being (soul, spirit, heart part of spirit) comes into Kingdom of God, then Heaven
1. Understanding our spiritual being, our physical being
In
the New Covenant of Christ’s grace, Jesus clearly tells us we have a heart (part of our spirit) and
soul; which makes our invisible
spiritual being. And a separate distinct physical mind and strength (body) which makes up our visible physical being.
*And you shall love the Lord your God with
all your heart and with all your soul and with all
your mind and with all your
strength.’ Mk 12:30 ESV+
Lk
10:27 confirms Jesus told us we have; a heart (part of our spirit), soul, mind
and strength (body); in Matt 22:37 Jesus tells us that we have a heart, soul,
and mind. This proves our soul and mind are not one and the same; that they are
completely different attributes. And Hebrews tells us our soul is united with
our spirit; and our heart is part of our spirit, making our spiritual thoughts
and decisions.
*And he answered, “You shall love the Lord
your God with all your heart and with all your
soul and with all your strength
and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.” Lk10:27 ESV+
*And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord
your God with all your heart and
with all your soul and with all your mind. Matt 22:37
ESV+
*For the word of God is living and active,
sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing
to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts
and intentions of the heart. Heb 4:12 ESV+
Jesus
told us our physical bodies (strength) can lead us to sin; for our eye can
tempt us to lust after women, especially seductive ones when it looks upon
them. And this will cause men’s hormones to start flowing, which will tempt our
physical minds to lust after these women. Jesus showed the severity of
committing sins when He told us to pluck out our eye, rather than face Hell. He
was making a point that we should cover our eyes, close our eyes, or more
importantly stay away from situations where we will see women which may tempt
us to sexually lust after them. This is very hard to now do in the U.S., where
explicit sexual exposure is continually used in our social media, entertainment
and advertising industries, where the clothes worn even by our Christian women
have become more revealing, more sexually oriented.
*But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent
has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to sin, tear
it out and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members
than that your whole body be thrown
into hell. Matt 5:28-29 ESV+ Whole physical body/Hell C + C2
Paul
in Eph 2:3 below tells us the passions of our flesh;
refers to the sins of both our body and our mind, our sinful
nature. In 1Thess 5:23 below when Paul refers to our whole soul,
spirit, and body; he is referring to our whole body as our flesh,
both our body and mind; our sin nature we inherited from
Adam. And the sins our flesh commits utilize both our physical mind and our
physical body. As you will see as you read this message, in the New Testament
our mind is constantly referred to as being part of our physical being (body,
mind, conscience part of mind). Paul tells us our soul, spirit, and body, will
be preserved blameless; yet our body and mind are not made holy, for they will
always be sinful, for sin causes death and we can physically die at anytime.
*among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh,
carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath,
like the rest of mankind.
Eph 2:3 ESV+
*Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may
your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the
coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1Thes 5:23
NKJV+
*Now the works
of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger,
rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and
things like these. I warn you, as I
warned you before, that those who do
such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. Gal 5:19-21 ESV+
Yet
when our physical minds allow the Spirit to guide them, our spiritual being
(soul, spirit, heart part of spirit) is made holy through Christ’s atoning
grace; which can forgive the sins of our flesh, the sinful desires of our body
and mind. And we remain holy through sanctification of the Spirit as our sins
are forgiven by our faith; until we physically die or until Jesus returns for
us.
*So then, brothers, we are debtors, not to
the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh
you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For all
who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. Ro 8:12-14 ESV+
*And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and
desires. Gal 5:24 ESV+
Our
spiritual being (soul, spirit, heart part of spirit) does not have flesh or bones; is invisible unless Jesus allows
another to see them; until our physical body dies and our spiritual being comes
into Heaven. Where we will be seen and known by all believers’ spiritual beings
who are already in Heaven; as we will see and know all
of them.
*"See My hands and My feet, that it is I
Myself; touch Me and see, for a spirit
does not have flesh and bones as
you see that I have." Lk 24:39 NASB+
*For now
we see in a mirror dimly, but then
face to face. Now I know in part;
then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known. 1Co 13:12 ESV+
And
our physical being (body, mind, conscience
part of mind) is made up of flesh and bones from above verse; and flesh and
blood from verse below. This includes anything which can be seen, which can be
altered by drugs, which includes our physical mind as science defines it. And
our physical being, our flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God until
it is glorified, made new and holy when Christ returns in the clouds; and only
then can our physical being come into Heaven. While only our spiritual physical
being is holy (righteous) when Christ lives in our hearts; and can come into
the Kingdom of God.
*I tell you this, brothers: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom
of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. 1Co 15:50 ESV+
*But if Christ
is in you, your body is dead because
of sin, yet your spirit is alive
because of righteousness. Ro 8:10 NIV+
The
goal of Paul’s instruction is love; from a pure (holy) heart which is the moral
compass of our spirit; a good conscience (if it is guided by the Spirit) which
is the moral compass of our physical mind; and a sincere faith which the Spirit
will give us when He comes into our hearts.
But the goal of our instruction
is love from a pure heart and a good
conscience and a sincere faith. 1Tim 1:5 NASB+
We
must use the context of all verses in the New Testament of Christ’s grace, not
just one verse which fits our thoughts: and this context shows us we have an
eternal spiritual being (soul, spirit, heart part of
spirit); we have a mortal physical being (body, mind, conscience part of our
mind)
In
verses above:
soul and body are listed
together as separate attributes
soul and mind are listed

soul and spirit are listed

mind and body (strength) are

spirit and body are listed

body and strength are the
same attribute; never listed together as separate attributes
Soul,
in the Old Testament often refers to the human body, but even in the Old
Testament soul has been used to describe God’s spiritual being; which we were
made in the image of. In the New Testament Jesus clearly separates our body and
soul; describes our soul as part of our eternal spiritual being, for souls are
eternal, cannot be killed like our physical body and mind on earth.
Unbelievers’ souls will go to the torment of Hades when their physical beings
(bodies and minds) die, then turns to dust. Unbelievers’ eternal souls at the
White Throne Judgment will be reunited with their physical beings (bodies and
minds) which will be resurrected from the dead; and be thrown into the eternal
lake of fire; Hell.
*'I then will destroy your high places, and cut down your incense
altars, and heap your remains on the remains of your idols, for My soul shall abhor you. Lev 26:30 NASB+
*And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear
Him who is able to destroy both soul and
body in hell. Matt 10:28 NKJV+
*And the sea gave up the dead who were in it,
Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done. Then Death and Hades were thrown into
the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. Rev 20:13-15 ESV+
1a. Our spiritual being; our soul, spirit, heart See Soul and Spirit; Body and Mind
Soul; outer part of our spiritual being by which we are
recognized; souls martyred in Heaven showed scars of being beheaded; no
antichrist’s mark on them
*And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and
judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls
of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and
for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on
their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with
Christ for a thousand years. Rev 20:4 NKJV+ Jesus took
John’s spiritual being to Heaven
Spirit; “mind” of our spiritual being, lives within our soul; has
understanding, can think, talk, sing; will be in control of our spiritual being
when our physical being dies
*So what shall I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my mind; I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my mind. 1Co 14:15 NIV+
Heart; is part of our spirit; makes our moral decisions, our
deepest thoughts and intentions, who we will love; our Father and Jesus reside
here (3 par below)
*For the word of God is living and active,
sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing
to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts
and intentions of the heart. Heb 4:12 ESV+
1b. Believers’ spiritual beings (soul, spirit, heart part of spirit)
are holy
Our
God chose us from the beginning to be His children, through sanctification by
the Holy Spirit; because our Father knew we would surrender our will to Him,
and love Him above all things. When our Father gives us the indwelling of the
Holy Spirit, the Spirit sanctifies our
spiritual being (soul, spirit, heart part
of spirit); set us apart
as children of God, and continually forgive our sins through the atoning blood
Jesus shed on the cross for us. So we can remain a holy child of God, so the
Spirit can remain living in our spiritual being; for the Spirit is holy, can
only live within our spiritual being when they are likewise holy.
*But we should always give thanks to God for
you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God
has chosen you from the beginning
for salvation through sanctification by
the Spirit and faith in the truth. 2Thess 2:13 NASB+
*For by one
offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified. Heb 10:14 NKJV+
God
has called us for holiness, and when we surrender our human will He spiritually
washes away, forgives any sins which we have so our spiritual being can become
holy, so He can give us the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. And the Spirit
introduces us to Jesus; gives us the faith to call Jesus our Lord.
*God
has not called us for impurity, but in holiness. Therefore whoever disregards this, disregards not man but God, who gives his Holy
Spirit to you. 1Thess 4:7-8 ESV+
*Therefore I make known to you that no one
speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit. 1Co 12:3 NKJV+
When
the Spirit dwells within our spiritual being (soul,
spirit, heart part of spirit) He strengthens our faith, our love for our
God; so Jesus can come into our hearts. And when Jesus comes into our hearts,
He brings His Father into our hearts with Him.
*that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in
your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, Eph 3:16-17 ESV+
*Jesus
answered and said to him, "If anyone
loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him. Jn 14:23 NASB+
2. Believers’ physical being (body, mind,
conscience part of mind) are sinful; sin causes death
We
know our physical beings (body, mind, conscience part of mind) are conceived sinful, for after our tiny physical being
attaches to our mother’s womb and is given life when the Spirit creates our
spiritual being within them; our physical being can die. And sin causes our
physical beings death; for our God put the curse of death on Adam for sinning
when he chose Eve over God. And we will all inherit Adam’s original sin when we
are conceived.
*Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin,
and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned—Ro 5:12 NKJV+
*In the sweat of your face you shall eat
bread Till you return to the ground,
For out of it you were taken; For dust you are, And to dust you shall return."
Gen 3:19 NKJV+
*Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother
conceived me. Ps 51.5 NKJV+
Jesus was
the firstborn of a woman whose physical being (body, mind, conscience) was
reproduced holy (remember Adam was created, not reproduced by parents). This is
because we inherit Adam’s original sin from Adam’s seed, all men’s seed; not
from women, including Mary (Jesus’ mother). The Spirit impregnated Mary with
seed which did not carry Adam’s original sin; and Jesus physical being was
conceived without any sin. Jesus never committed any sin; physically died on
the cross when the sins of the world were laid upon Him, for without sin no
physical being will die. What Spiritually Happened on
the Cross
Works,
gifts, or anything we do with our physical being (body, mind,
conscience), will never
please our God; even when these are done with the love and compassion of our
human conscience (though they might endure
less torment in Hell; Lk 12:48).
The only works, gifts, deeds that are acceptable to our God can only be done
when the Holy Spirit dwells in our hearts; giving our physical being the
ability to love our God, do the works which He would have us do, to glorify
Him. And our Father will give us blessings; the greatest are those which will
be stored up in Heaven for us, for they will last forever. Remembering our
works will not help us with our salvation; which is a free gift when we
surrender our will and receive the indwelling of the Spirit; and our sins are
forgiven through Christ’s grace on the cross.
*To the pure, all things are pure; but to those
who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure, but both their mind and their conscience are
defiled. Titus 1:15 NASB+
*For the mind
that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; indeed, it cannot. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. Ro 8:7-8
ESV+
*“Do not
lay up for yourselves treasures on
earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and
steal, but lay up for
yourselves treasures
in heaven, where neither moth nor rust
destroys and where thieves do not
break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your
heart will be also. Matt 6:19-20 ESV+
2a. Our physical being (body, mind, conscience part mind) is
flesh and blood Soul and Spirit; Body and Mind
*I tell you this, brothers: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom
of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. 1Co 15:50 ESV+
Body; outer shell of our
physical being in which our mind (conscience part mind); and spiritual being
(soul, spirit, heart part of spirit)
live.
Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit
who is in you, whom you have from
God, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought
with a price: therefore glorify God
in your body. 1Co 6:19-20 NASB+
Mind; controls thoughts of
our physical being; physically increases its ability to think, understand, and
make decisions as it matures. Because our mind will inherit Adam’s original
sin; if this sin is not forgiven our mind will be hostile to God when our mind
is mature. Then one will have to be born again; submit their human will to God
like a little child does; and our Father will forgive their sins, give them the
indwelling of the Spirit so our mind can be guided by the spirit to follow our
God.
*For to set
the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. Ro 8:6 ESV+
Conscience; where the
moral decisions of our mind are made; whether to surrender to God and be guided
by the Spirit to serve God; or by our human will which only does dead works
unacceptable to our God.
*how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the
eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from
dead works to serve the living God? Heb 9:14 NKJV+
3. Temple in Jerusalem;
symbolic of how our spiritual being and physical being are separated
Paul
uses the Temple at Jerusalem to symbolize in the New Covenant of Christ’s
grace; how believers’ physical beings and spiritual beings have now become the
Temple of our God. Our physical bodies represent the outer walls of the temple;
where our physical mind (conscience part of our
mind) and our spiritual
being (soul, spirit, heart part of spirit) live.
*Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that
God’s Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will
destroy him. For God’s
temple is holy, and you are that
temple. 1Co 3:16-17 ESV+
Within the temple walls of our physical body there are 2
rooms; the larger room is the holy place which symbolizes our physical mind. In
this room the priests carried out their ministries; in our mind we process our
thoughts, whether to surrender our human will to our God, or reject Him.
*When everything had been arranged like this,
the priests entered regularly into
the outer room to carry on their ministry. Heb 9:6 NIV+
Within the Holy Place was the altar of incense, where the
priest came to burn incense to help bring the prayers of the believers before
God. This symbolizes our conscience which makes the moral decisions of our
mind; which can submit to our God, and offer up prayers to Him; or use the
intellect of their physical mind which can never accept Jesus as their Lord.
*according to the custom of the priestly office, he was chosen by lot
to enter the temple of the Lord and burn incense. And the whole multitude of the people were in prayer outside at the hour of the
incense offering. And an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing to
the right of the altar of incense. Lk 1:9-11 NASB+
The smaller innermost room was called the Holy of Holies;
which symbolizes our spiritual being. The physical walls and curtain (veil) of
the Holy of Holies separated this Holy place where our God could come, from the
Holy Place where the priests who needed their sins forgiven could offer up
prayers and sacrifices to our God. This symbolizes how our soul is the outer
covering of our spiritual being; and separates our holy spiritual being (soul, spirit, heart part
of spirit) from our sinful physical being (body, mind,
conscience part mind).
*"You shall hang up the veil under the
clasps, and shall bring in the ark of the testimony there within the veil; and
the veil shall serve for you as a partition between the holy place and the holy of holies. Ex 26:33 NASB
The inner-most room itself, the Holy of holies, was the only
room which could be made holy enough for our God to enter into to forgive the
sins of Israel. This room symbolizes our spirit, where Christ’s blood can make
us holy enough for the Spirit to come and dwell within.
*Now he made the room of the holy of holies: its length
across the width of the house was
twenty cubits, and its width was twenty cubits; and he overlaid it with fine gold, amounting to 600 talents. 2Chr 3:8 NASB+
Cubit
1.5 feet x 20 = 30’
In the Holy of Holies was the mercy seat, where our Father
annually came to forgive the sins of Israel. This symbolizes a believers’
heart, where our God now continually lives.
*and the Lord said to Moses, “Tell Aaron your brother not to come at any time into the Holy Place
inside the veil, before the mercy seat that is on the ark, so that he may not die. For I will appear in the cloud over the mercy seat. Lev 16:1-2 ESV+
We need no
other church building or place to meet with our God; for He is spiritually
within us. Yet we should gather together with other children of God, and unite
the burning embers of love we each have in our hearts for our God. So the
embers join together and create a raging fire of praise and glory to our God,
which reaches to Heaven above. A fire of love that consumes all of our fears,
strengthens our faith with the greatness of our God, and assures us His bond of
love for us can never be broken; which makes us want to love our God above all
things, and when we love our God, we will want to obey His commands.
*"If
you love me, you will obey what I command. Jn 14:15 NIV+
4. Parents reproduce our mortal,
sinful physical being;
Spirit creates our holy,
eternal, mature spiritual
being
It is impossible for a mortal human
physical being which is reproduced; to create an eternal
spiritual being!!!
The Son created Adams’s physical being as a new and different creation
from the dust of the ground. Adam’s physical being (body, mind,
conscience) was created holy, for the Son cannot
create anything evil. Yet Adam’s physical being was not created eternal, and
after he sinned our Father threw Him out of the Garden of Eden. Our Father
could never save Adam (his
descendants’ who inherit his sin) if his physical being was eternal; he
would just have been eternally sinful. God kept our physical beings mortal, so
they can die; pay the price for our sins. Yet believers can live through our
eternal spiritual being, until Jesus returns to unite our holy eternal
spiritual being, with a holy, eternal, glorified body.
*then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and
breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living
creature. Gen
2:7 ESV+
*Your eyes are too pure to approve evil, And You can
not look on wickedness with
favor. Why do You look with favor On those who deal treacherously? Why are
You silent when the wicked swallow up Those more righteous
than they? Hab 1:13 NASB+
*Then the Lord
God said, "Behold, the man has become like one of Us,
to know good and evil. And now, lest he
put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat,
and live forever"— therefore the Lord God sent him out from the garden of Eden to work the ground from which
he was taken. Gen 3:22 NKJV+
Holy
Spirit creates our spiritual being; holy, eternal, mature
When the Son breathed the Holy Spirit (breath of life) into
Adam’s physical body (body, mind, conscience) which
He had just created out of the dust of the earth; the Spirit created Adam’s
spiritual being (soul, spirit, and heart) giving him life. The same way Jesus breathed
on some of His disciples and gave them the indwelling of the Spirit (they were born again). The
Holy Spirit creates all spiritual beings in the image of God; holy, eternal,
mature; including all angelic beings (little higher than our spiritual being)
and
our
spiritual being.
*then the Lord
God formed the man of dust from the
ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath
of life, and the man became a living
creature. Gen
2:7 ESV+
*And God said,
Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the
fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every
creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. Gen 1:26 KJV
God was talking to His heavenly angelic host like He did in;
Gen 3:22; 3:11; 1Ki 22:19-22
*And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said
to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit. Jn 20:22 NKJV+
Parents reproduce
our physical being sinful, mortal
After Adam sinned,
he created a son in his likeness which was now sinful; and his image referred
to his physical being (body, mind, conscience) which was mortal, would die. And no mortal man and woman can reproduce an eternal
spiritual being (soul, spirit, and heart); only the Holy Spirit can.
*When
Adam had lived 130 years, he fathered a son in his own likeness,
after his image, and named him Seth.
Gen 5:3 ESV+
After our parents conceive a sinful physical being (2. above), and
they attach to our mother’s womb,
our Father sends the Holy Spirit to create our holy, mature, and eternal
spiritual being. The Spirit creates our spiritual being (soul, spirit, heart part of spirit), our
inmost being, and knits it within our minuscule newly conceived physical being;
giving life to the baby when they attach to our mother’s womb.
*For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I
praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are
wonderful, I know that full well. My
frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the
earth, your eyes saw my unformed
body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them
came to be. Ps
139:13-16 NIV+ Inmost
being: soul + spirit Ps 103:1
a. Once the Spirit creates
a new spiritual being; they are eternal from the time they are created; if the
physical being they are in dies, the eternal spiritual being must go to either
Heaven or Hades more (explained 5a. below).
b. Tubular pregnancies should
be removed to protect the mother; no life has been given to a baby until they
attach to our mother’s womb, believers will not have a child in Heaven waiting
for them.
c. Helps us understand
anytime a women’s fertilized egg is taken outside of her body to store in our
new scientific world it does not have life; will not live and grow unless put
in a mother’s womb. Science is doing some very scary experiments trying to
reproduce life, which can cause mutations; some might be good, yet many will be
terrible.
King Solomon and the prophet Zechariah confirm that our Father
sends forth His Spirit (Holy
Spirit) to create our holy, eternal, mature spiritual being within our
physical being.
*As you do not know the way the spirit comes to the bones in the womb
of a woman with child, so you do not know the work of God who makes
everything. Eccl 11:5 ESV+
*The burden of the word
of the Lord concerning Israel. Thus declares the Lord who stretches out the heavens, lays
the foundation of the earth, and forms
the spirit of man within him, Zech 12:1 NASB+
Those
who say Zechariah is using figurative language remember this. Until 1990s the
world top astronomers believe the universe was constant; but with the use of
the Hubbell telescope they were stunned to learn our universe is continually
growing. They should have trusted our Father to give His prophets definitive
truths with the revelations He gave them. Then the astronomers would have known
the universe continually grows and stretches from Zechariah around 450 B.C.
Jesus also tells us that our spiritual being was created by
the Holy Spirit; and the Psalmist confirms this.
*"That which is
born of the flesh is flesh, and that
which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Jn 3:6 NASB+
*When you send your Spirit, they are created, and you renew the face of the earth. Ps
104:30 NIV
We know that when the Spirit creates our spiritual being
within our miniscule physical body; life is given to our physical being. For
our God gives breath (the
Holy Spirit) so our spiritual being is created and life is given to our
physical bodies.
*I will not accuse
forever, nor will I always be angry, for then the spirit of man would grow faint
before me-- the breath of man that I have created. Isa 57:16 NIV+
*This is what God the Lord says-- he who created the heavens
and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and all that comes out of it,
who gives breath to its people, and life to those who walk on it: Isa 42:5 NIV+
*nor is he served by human hands, as though
he needed anything, since he himself
gives to all mankind life and breath and everything. Ac 17:25 ESV+
5. How we become holy children of God;
heirs of Heaven
Our Father has
mercy on who He will have mercy, only He knows who
will become, remain His children; and come into Heaven. We know we are a child
of God, when we put Him first in our lives, love Him above all things. We can
see Jesus in others, yet there are many we can just surmise whether they are
believers or not; and will never know until we meet all who are God’s children
in Heaven.
*What shall we say then? Is there injustice
on God’s part? By no means! For he says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and
I will have compassion on whom I have
compassion.” So then it depends
not on human will or exertion, but on God, who has mercy. Ro 9:14-16 ESV+
We are called
according to the foreknowledge of God; at many different times, and in many
different ways, for we are all different. Some are given the indwelling of the
Spirit as He creates our holy, eternal, mature spiritual being within our tiny
physical being, and they attach to our mother’s womb. Others do not receive the
Spirit until they are on their deathbed. Some receive the Spirit with much
emotional excitement, others quietly learn to love Jesus; without realizing we
have received the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Only later in our lives do we
realize that the indwelling of the Spirit allowed us to call Jesus our Lord; to
love Him above all things. Baptisms of the Holy Spirit

*Therefore I make known to you that no one
speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit. 1Co 12:3 NKJV+
The bottom line is
all are a child of God, one with Christ, a member in Christ’s one Holy
Spiritual Church; when we have the Holy Spirit in our hearts. And we can
receive the indwelling of the Spirit when we are given life in our mother’s
womb; making us a member of Christ’s one Holy Spiritual Church. Nothing else is
needed to become a child of God; no matter what any other leader, denomination,
or anyone else requires you to do or say to become a member of their
congregation, their earthly church. Or even worse when anyone tells you that
you are not a child of God until you do some physical work; for our salvation
is a free gift from God.
*You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. Ro 8:9 ESV+
*For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as

5a. Believers’ child saved from life to
mature youth – including miscarriage,
abortion, young child dies
Believers’ children and
those God has mercy on are saved; from being given life when the Spirit creates
our spiritual being within our tiny physical being, after they have attached to
our mother’s womb. To mature youth when they are around 10-14 years old and
their mind is physically mature enough to reject God. These are arbitrary
figures everyone is different, only God knows exactly when one accepts or
rejects Him.
We know our
spiritual beings are holy for they were created by the Holy Spirit who is holy;
and being God, He cannot create anything which is evil. And we know our
spiritual beings are eternal, because they return to God when our physical body
dies.
*For You
are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness, Nor shall evil dwell with You. Ps 5:4 NKJV+
*and the dust returns to the earth as
it was, and the spirit returns to
God who gave it. Eccl 12:7 ESV+
Our spiritual being, like the angelic beings, does not
reproduce; but is created by the Spirit with a spiritual free will mature enough
to accept our God, like His angelic host; or reject Him like satan and his demonic angels.
*At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage;
they will be like the angels in heaven. Mt 22:30 NIV+
*Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of
the devil, for the devil has been
sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to
destroy the works of the devil. 1Jn 3:8 ESV+
From our mothers’
womb our spiritual being can accept or reject our God.
*I was cast upon You
from birth. From My mother's womb You have been
My God. Ps 22:10 NKJV+
*Even from birth the
wicked go astray; from the womb they are
wayward and speak lies. Ps
58:3 NIV
Our spiritual being can know our God, praise Him.
*For indeed, as soon as the voice of your
greeting sounded in my ears, the babe
leaped in my womb for joy. Lk 1:44 NKJV+
*and said to Him, "Do You
hear what these are saying?" And Jesus said to them, "Yes. Have you
never read, 'Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have perfected praise'?" Matt 21:16 NKJV+
Since our
spiritual beings are created mature they can accept or reject our God from the
time they are created, given life by the Spirit in our mother’s womb. When our
heart accepts our God, He gives us the indwelling of the Holy Spirit which
makes us children of God, and the spirit guides our physical mind which is so
immature it offers no resistance.
*Yet you brought me out
of the womb; you made me trust in you
even at my mother's breast. From
birth I was cast upon you; from my mother's womb you have been my God. Ps 22:9-10 NIV+
*At that time Jesus
answered and said, "I thank You, Father,
Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and have revealed them to babes. Matt 11:25 NKJV+
Note: An embryo is the
tiny human physical being which attaches to the mother’s womb after growing for
6-12 days from the time they were conceived from a woman’s ovum and a man’s
sperm. The Spirit then creates an eternal spiritual being (soul, spirit, heart
part of spirit) within this one week old baby who has many hundred cells;
giving them life.
All young children
who have one believing parent, from the time they were given life in the
womb by the Holy Spirit; until our physical mind is mature enough to make the
decision whether we accept or reject Jesus; are kept holy by the Spirit. A
believing parent can also refer to
grandparents, other relatives, any in the family of God; who are nurturing a
young child in the love of Jesus.
*All
the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them
came to be. Ps
139:16 NIV+
*For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving
wife is sanctified by the husband; otherwise your children would be unclean, but now they are holy. 1Co 7:14 NKJV
Note: The husband or wife
sanctifies their unbelieving spouse only as it concerns their children; only
their children are made holy. A believing husband or wife cannot make their
unbelieving spouse holy. For as we continue in context through the following
verses, a believing husband or wife does not know if they will save an
unbelieving spouse by having them exposed to their Christian beliefs. And if
the unbelieving spouse wants to leave, a believing spouse should let them, so
they are not pulled away from their Christian beliefs.
*But if the unbelieving partner separates,
let it be so. In such cases the brother or sister is not enslaved. God has
called you to peace. For how do you know, wife, whether you will save your husband? Or
how do you know, husband, whether you
will save your wife? 1Co 7:15-16 ESV+
There should be no
fear if these young children should physically die. They are children of God
and their spiritual beings (soul, spirit, heart part
of spirit), are taken to
Heaven.
*From birth I was cast
upon you; from my mother’s womb you have
been my God. Ps
22:10 NIV
*Jesus said, "Let
the little children come to me, and
do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven
belongs to such as these." Matt 19:14 NIV+
A believing parent, who
has lost a child due to a miscarriage, should always remember because we love
our God above all things; our Father has entrusted us to help complete His
family in Heaven. You are a parent of a child who is part of the family of God;
will live forever in Heaven with our Lord. Though we will not be given time on
earth with our child, our Father has brought them home to Heaven where their
eldest brother Jesus is giving them more love and care than is humanly
possible. Although we can lose 60 years which we could be with them on earth;
we must have the patience and hope to wait, to trust in our God. For when we
physically die, or when Jesus returns in the clouds for us; we will have more than
a trillion years, we will have forever to live with our Heavenly Father, with
our brother Jesus, and all God’s children in Paradise; including our children
who we will meet for the first time in Heaven.
We can also have
hope in the love and mercy of our Heavenly Father for young children who die
without a believing parent. Our Father has a foreknowledge of those who will
love Him, makes them His children, and will take them to Heaven. This includes
a parent who has become a believer; yet while they were an unbeliever, had a
young child die. All believers can have hope in the love and grace of Jesus,
that they will be united once more in Heaven with the young child they dearly
loved, the unborn child they will first meet in Heaven.
*And the Lord said, "I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the Lord, in your presence. I will

I will have mercy, and I will have
compassion on whom I will have compassion. Ex 33:19 NIV+
*who have been chosen according
to the foreknowledge of God the Father,

Yet we must also
realize that God’s Word tells us that parents’ attitudes, their sins, can carry
over to their young children, and those who are still in the womb. Making these
young children go astray, unable to accept Jesus as their Savior. And when
these young children physically die, their eternal spiritual being (soul, spirit, heart part of spirit) will descend into Hades (into hades at white throne
Judgment).
*You shall not bow down
to them or worship them; for I, the Lord
your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers
to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, Dt 5:9-10 NIV+ Part of 1st
commandment

No child of God
can support abortion, the murdering of an unborn child in the womb (except in very limited, very specific cases of another life
being endangered). We were
made in the image of God, when we were created, first given life as we were
conceived in the womb. And any who are created in the image of God must not be
murdered, though they may have their physical life taken under certain
circumstances made by our Creator. Abortion does not only take the physical
life of an unborn baby here on earth; but their spiritual being will either go
to Heaven or Hell as seen in the paragraphs above.
*And God created man in his own image, in
the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Gen 1:27 ASV

Yet we know that all who are truly repentant can have their
sins forgiven including abortion, by the grace of Jesus Christ. All who will repent after committing an abortion,
and receive the Spirit into their hearts, will be forgiven by Christ’s grace.
They become children of God, who can have hope in the mercy of our Father; that
they will be reunited in Heaven with the children they aborted.

has an abortion, or supports abortion in any way. And it will be a fearful
thing to fall into the vengeance of the Lord when one physically dies, or when
Jesus returns in power to rule over the earth; and Jesus repays those for
murdering one of His little children.

5b. Can renew or
receive Holy Spirit from young child to youth, when mind becomes hostile
Children around 6-14 years
old physical mind is mature enough to accept Jesus; yet before youth
approximately 10-16 years old when our physically mind is mature enough to be
hostile to God and reject Him. These are arbitrary figures to help explain this
concept; everyone is different, only God knows when our physical mind is able
to accept or reject Him.
The
curse of Adam’s original sin will always be carried in the seed of man; because
we all can physically die at any time. We inherit Adam’s sin from our fathers
in our physical mind (specifically our
conscience; part mind makes moral decisions) when we are conceived. Yet at this time our physical mind is
immature, its understanding and thought process will not allow it to rule over
the understanding and thought process of our spirit (see 1a.
spirit above). So
believers’ children spiritual beings can remain holy, the Holy Spirit can dwell
in our hearts; even while our physical mind contains Adam’s original sin in it.
*Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world,
and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned—Ro 5:12 NKJV+
*Behold, I was brought
forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived
me. Ps
51:5 NASB+
There comes a time
as we grow older, as our physical mind matures in our youth; that it has the
understanding and thought process to make our decisions for us, chose between
following our God, or rejecting Him. And since our physical mind has inherited
Adam’s original sin, it will be hostile to our God; will no longer submit to
Him, follow Him; nor be able to find Him without the help of the indwelling of
the Spirit. Our mature physical mind will rule over our spirit, bring its
sinfulness into our spiritual being; pushing the Holy Spirit out of our hearts,
for the Spirit cannot live where there is sin, and we will no longer be a child
of God.
*For as in Adam all die, even so in
Christ shall all be made alive. 1Co 15:22 KJV
*the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God's law, nor can it do so. Those controlled by the sinful
nature cannot please God. Ro 8:7-8 NIV+
*The Lord
smelled the soothing aroma; and the Lord
said to Himself, "I will never again curse the ground on account of man,
for the intent of man's heart is evil
from his youth; and I will never again destroy every living thing, as I
have done. Gen
8:21 NASB+
Children
must accept Jesus as our Lord after our physical minds have matured enough to
have the understanding to know what we are saying; yet before our physical
minds turn hostile to our God in our youth. Our Father forgives; spiritually
wash away Adam’s original sin we inherited from our physical minds. This renews
the Spirit within our hearts; for He can now rule over our physical minds when
they mature. This renews our physical minds because our conscience (part physical mind makes moral decisions) will now want the Spirit to guide them.
*"Truly I say to you, whoever does not
receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all." And He took them
in His arms and began blessing
them, laying His hands on them. Mk 10:15-16 NASB+
*he saved us, not because
of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, Tit
3:5 NIV+
*and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and
that you put on the new man which
was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. Eph 4:23-24 NKJV+
Children
receive the renewing of the Spirit and our physical mind, when we surrender our
physical will (conscience; which makes moral decisions physical mind) to our
God; want Him to rule our life. Some receive the renewing at a very young age;
others will receive just before they become mature enough to reject God.
Renewing of the Holy Spirit is celebrated in different ways; some receive water
baptism to physically show what has spiritually happened. Others
who have received infant water baptism, merely confirm their belief in our God;
and finally some just tell all about the love God has given to them.
Children
of God can be spiritually holy, a child of God all of our lives, or until Jesus
returns; if we received the Spirit in our hearts when we were given life;
because of a believing parent, or God’s mercy. Then as a child have our
physical mind accept our God so our Father can spiritually forgive the original
sin of Adam from our minds; renewing of the Holy Spirit within us and our
physical minds. Then we allow the Holy Spirit to guide us in everything we do
the rest of our lives
*"So it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one
of these little ones perish. Matt 18:14 NASB+
5c. When unbelievers’ mind is mature and
responsible; must be born again
Children around the age of
10-16 usually have a mature mind, and can take responsibility for their
actions. This is an arbitrary figure to help explain this concept; everyone is
different, only God knows when our physical mind is mature and responsible to
accept or reject Him.
Those who have not
previously received the Spirit, were not sanctified from conception to young
children, must be born again. The Holy Spirit does not live in their hearts;
they must be given the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
*Jesus answered,
"Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one
is born of water and the Spirit,
he cannot enter the
*But as many as received him, to them gave he the right
to become children of God, even to them that believe on his name: who were born, not
of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. Jn 1:12-13 ASV
Mature unbelievers
will have their conscience (makes moral decisions
physical mind), which
contains Adam’s original sin making it hostile to God, ruling over their
hearts; keeping them from the Holy Spirit who alone can give them faith in God.
Unbelievers can only be saved when they become like little children, humble and
trusting; giving up their human will in their conscience, so our Father can
save them. They must have a childlike
faith of things not known, that defies mature human reason and ego;
surrendering their human will so our Heavenly Father can spiritually wash away
our sins, put the Holy Spirit into our hearts; and make them His holy
children.
*and said, "Truly I
say to you, unless you are converted and
become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. Matt
18:3 NASB+
*"Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all." Lk 18:17 NASB+
In this verse; when we
surrender to our Father (draw near to our God), He will forgive the original
sin in our conscience [cleanse us from a guilty conscience (which is part of
our physical mind)] so our physical mind is no longer hostile to God, and our
spiritual being can become holy; so the Spirit can dwell within our hearts (we
will have a sincere heart) and give us a saving faith (full assurance of
faith).
Our God also spiritually
washes away (only Father’s spiritual forgiveness can be symbolized by “pure
water”), forgives all of the other sins of our flesh, here referring to our
physical body and mind.
*among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the
desires of the body and the mind,
and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. Eph 2:3 ESV+
Believers can choose how
they would like to receive water baptism; and when they would like to be water
baptized; though sooner may be better than later.
A. Water baptism by
sprinkling water on believer’s head while Jesus’ words are read; physically
shows how ones original sin in their conscience is spiritually washed away,
forgiven by our Heavenly Father.
B. Water baptism by
immersion in water while Jesus’ words are read; physically shows how our
Father forgives all the sins of our flesh when He spiritually washes our
bodies, with pure water (only Father’s spiritual forgiveness can be symbolized
by “pure water”).
*let us draw
near to God with a sincere heart
in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience
and having our bodies washed with pure
water. Heb 10:22 NIV+
C. Water baptism by
pouring out water usually over a believer’s head while Jesus’ words are
read; physically shows how our Father poured out the Spirit in our hearts,
after our spiritual being is holy, so we can receive the indwelling of the
Spirit.
*“ ‘And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out
my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams; Ac 2:17 ESV+
When we are born
again, not only is our spiritual being made holy, but our physical mind is
transformed, renewed when the Spirit comes into our hearts. Our mind is given a
new attitude when guided by the Holy Spirit; is able to discern what is good,
acceptable, and perfect to our Father. We will long to be guided in God’s Word,
so we will learn the truths about how He saves us, how He is kind and loving to
us.
*like
newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation, if you have tasted the kindness of the Lord. 1Pe 2:2-3 NASB+
*Do not
be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing
you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and
acceptable and perfect. Ro 12:2 ESV+
*Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, Phil 2:5 NASB+
We will have put
on a new physical self, a mind which will continually be given knowledge of our
God. We will use our body to do the work our Father would have us do, so it
will bear much fruit, and we will have many treasures, many blessings awaiting
us in Heaven.
*and have put on the new self,
which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator Col 3:10 ESV+
*And we pray
this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him
in every way: bearing fruit in every good
work, growing in the knowledge of God, Col 1:10 NIV+
5d. Our spiritual
being (soul, spirit, heart part of spirit)
saves us
All babies from
the time they are given life in their mother’s womb, until they are mature
enough as young children to know Jesus is our Savior; are saved when our
spiritual being has the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. We know any who have one
believing parent (5a. above) are holy, have received the indwelling of
the Spirit; are part of the body of Christ, His one holy, spiritually,
invisible church; are spiritually one with all believers, both on earth and in
Heaven. We should gladly welcome them into the family of God, let them receive
water baptism if they desire; so these infants can physically show how our
great God has spiritually saved them. For these little ones are part of the
Kingdom of God while they physically live on earth; when the Spirit lives in
their hearts (see 7. below).
*For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we
were all made to drink of one Spirit. 1Co
12:13 NASB+
*so we, being many, are one body
in Christ, and individually members
of one another. Ro 12:5 NKJV+
*But when Jesus saw it, he was indignant and
said to them, “Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. Mk 10:14 ESV+
It is a believers’ choice
how and when we are baptized; each will have their own way they want to
physically tell the story of how our great God saved them; including believing
parents of infant/little children (though may not be wise to immerse them). We
cannot dedicate salvation to any infant little child; salvation is a free gift
of God which believers’ infants/little children are assured of receiving until
they reach the maturity of youth. When infants/little children are given water
baptism, the Spirit is always present to strengthen the faith of the
infant/little child, and the faith of all others present at their baptism. And
because Jesus asked us to be water baptized, it is a good work for which the
infant/little child, their believing parents will receive blessings for. See water baptism in 5e. below
God gave us the free gift of salvation, so
we could become His children; through our spiritual being. When our God gives
us the indwelling of the Spirit, the Spirit gives us the faith to believe in
Jesus, and by our faith our sins are forgiven by Christ’s atoning grace on the
cross. The Spirit continues to sanctify us, continually forgives our sins;
until our physical bodies die and our spiritual being goes to Heaven, or Jesus
returns for us in the clouds.
*For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as
a result of works, so that no one may boast. Eph 2:8-9 NASB+
*that I might be a minister of Jesus Christ
to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering of the Gentiles might be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit. Ro 15:16 NKJV+
Then our Father’s plan of salvation will be
completed for those who have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. For when Jesus
returns from Heaven into the clouds over the earth, the Spirit will resurrect
the mortal physical bodies of all in whose heart He lived; and makes them holy eternal glorified
bodies; so we can live together with our Lord forever.
*But if the Spirit of Him who raised
Jesus from the dead dwells in you,
He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal
bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. Ro 8:11 NKJV+
The indwelling baptism of the Holy Spirit
(anointed, renewed, born again) is the only baptism we need to be saved; the
Spirit gives us faith to love our God above all things, sanctifies us and keeps
us holy, and will give us glorified bodies so we can live with our God through
all eternity. See Baptisms of the Holy Spirit
*"I
baptized you with water; but He will
baptize you with the Holy Spirit." Mk 1:8 NASB+
*And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said
to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit. Jn 20:22 NKJV+
5e. Our physical
being (body, mind, conscience part of mind)
was made to love God; do good works
Our God made us to be His children that He does
not already, that He cannot create; is our love. When we accept the Holy Spirit
into our hearts, we become children of God. Our Father has the Spirit pour out
His love in our hearts; so we can love our God above all things, our neighbors
as ourselves; fulfilling our God’s 2 greatest commands (Luke 10:27).
When our hearts love our God above all things, it enables our physical being to
obey our God’s commands. This love moves our conscience which makes the moral
decisions of our mind, to repent of all of our sins because we are sorry for
them; though all of our sins have already been
forgiven by our faith, through the sanctification of the Spirit.
*Now hope does not disappoint, because the love
of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Ro 5:5 NKJV+
*For this is the love of God, that we keep
his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome. For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that
has overcome the world— our faith. 1Jn 5:3-4 ESV+
*But we should always give thanks to God for
you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God
has chosen you from the beginning
for salvation through sanctification by
the Spirit and faith in the truth. 2Thess 2:13 NASB+
Because we love our
God; we will do the work He had planned for us to do before mankind was even
created, and our God will bless us, reward us for all the good works we do to
glorify His name. Always remembering our works do not in any way help with our
salvation, our ability to become or remain children of God. We will just
receive blessings and rewards on earth to help our journey here be more
enjoyable; will receive our greatest gifts and rewards from our Father in
Heaven; where we will enjoy these gifts and rewards forever.
*For we are
His workmanship, created in Christ
Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. Eph 2:10 NKJV+
*For no
one can lay a foundation
other than that which is laid, which is
Jesus Christ. Now if anyone builds
on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw— each one’s work
will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the
fire will test what sort of work each one has done. If the work that anyone has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. If anyone’s work
is burned up, he will suffer loss,
though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire. 1Co 3:11-15
ESV+
Only when Jesus lives in our hearts can our
physical being produce fruit (good works). When Jesus (the vine) is spiritually united with us (the branch)
our physical being can produce many good works (fruits). Without Jesus living in our hearts (part of our spirit)
our physical being cannot do any good works which are acceptable to God.
*I am
the vine, you are the
branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him,
bears much fruit; for without Me you
can do nothing. Jn 15:5 NKJV+
*For if you live according to the flesh you
will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For
as many as are led by the Spirit of God,
these are sons of God. Ro 8:13-14 NKJV+
The good works which we
can do includes water baptism and the Lord’s Supper
Water Baptism: see 5c. 3rd paragraph for 3 different water baptisms; 5d.
for infant baptism See Water Baptism
It does not matter
whether one is sprinkled, has water poured on them, or is immersed. We are just
physically showing how spiritually our sins have been washed away by our
Heavenly Father, our spiritual being has become holy, so the Spirit can live in
our hearts; and we become children of God. Yet because Jesus asked us to be
baptized with water, we will receive a spiritual blessing when we receive water
baptism.
*Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in
the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Matt 28:19 NKJV+
Lord’s Supper: See Lord’s Supper
After water
baptism we continue to receive spiritual blessings from our God when we
celebrate the Lord’s Supper with Jesus; the Supper Jesus asked us to attend. As
we eat the bread after Jesus’ words have consecrated it, we participate in
(share in) the body of Christ, Christ’s one holy spiritual church; which
includes all who have Jesus living in our hearts on earth, and the spiritual
beings of all who have preceded us to Heaven. We receive strength as we join
together with all the children of God on earth and in Heaven; to praise and
glorify our God. We receive hope and encouragement as we come close to all our
loved ones in Heaven as Jesus unites us together as one church; knowing we soon
will be able to join them in Heaven above.
*Is not the cup of thanksgiving for which we
give thanks a participation in the blood of Christ? And is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ? Because
there is one loaf, we, who are many, are one body, for we all partake of the one loaf. 1Co 10:16-17 NIV+
As we drink the
fruit of the vine after Jesus’ words have consecrated it, we share in
(participate in) the blood Christ shed to atone for our sins. We receive the
blessed assurance that all of our sins have been forgiven and forgotten by our
Heavenly Father; through Christ’s atoning sacrifice on the cross, and
sanctification by the Holy Spirit. This strengthens our resolve to battle
against our human weakness to sin, helps us to be able to forgive others as we
want to be forgiven. We can clear our human conscience by repenting of all of
our sins, even those we do not know we have committed; though all of our sins
have already been forgiven through sanctification by the Spirit.
*And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He gave it to them, saying,
"Drink from it, all of you; for this is My
blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for forgiveness of sins.
Matt 26:27-28 NASB+
*Is not the cup of blessing which we bless a sharing in the blood of Christ? Is not the bread which we
break a sharing in the body
of Christ? 1Co 10:16 NASB+
When believers
come to our Lord’s Supper we have an intimate fellowship with our Savior. As we
eat and drink of our Lord’s Supper, we participate in our Savior’s body and
blood. When we proclaim our Lord’s death until He comes; we are filled with
peace and joy for what Christ’s atoning death on the cross has given us. The
only means by which our sins can be forgiven, so our spiritual being can become
a holy eternal child of God; a spiritual brother of Jesus; until our Savior
returns in the clouds and we are given a glorified body.
*In the same way also he took the cup, after supper,
saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance
of me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.
1Co 11:25-26 ESV+
6. How we can lose the indwelling of the
Spirit; once saved always saved is incorrect
Our Father chose
His children from the beginning, before mankind was created; He chose them
because of His foreknowledge that they would love Him above everything else. No
one can snatch these children of God, from Jesus’ hand, nor our Father’s hand.
*But we
should always give thanks to God for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because
God has chosen you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the
truth. 2Thess 2:13 NASB+
*My
sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater
than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My
Father's hand. I and My Father are one." Jn 10:27-20
NKJV+
This is not
referring to all who Jesus was given to save. Though Jesus kept Judas in His
Father’s name; our Father knew from the beginning Judas would not love Him
above all things, would betray Jesus for 30 pieces of silver; which He told His
prophets (Ps 109:8).
*I am praying for them. I am not praying for the world but
for those whom you have given me, for they are yours. Jn 17:9 ESV+
*While
I was with them, I kept them in your name, which you
have given me. I have guarded them, and not
one of them has been lost except the son
of destruction, that the Scripture
might be fulfilled. Jn 17:12 ESV+
Nor does it refer
to all who are given the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, and were then
sanctified as children of God. Hebrews tells us that even those who were
sanctified by the Spirit were not saved when they blasphemed the Holy Spirit;
which is an unforgiveable sin. Much the same way Judas was not saved because He
betrayed Jesus.
*How much
worse punishment, do you think, will be
deserved by the one who has spurned
the Son of God, and has profaned the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has outraged the Spirit of grace? For we know him who said, “Vengeance is mine;
I will repay.” And again, “The Lord will judge his people.” It is a
fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Heb 10:29-31
ESV+
*"Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against
the Spirit will not be forgiven men. Matt 12:31
NKJV Jesus at this time was referring to blasphemy of the Holy Spirit as the
only unforgiveable sin; for as we will see below in Rev Jesus made more sins
unforgiveable.
Early verses in
Hebrews confirm those who outraged the Holy Spirit (Heb 10:29), committed the unforgiveable sin of
blasphemy against Him; they cannot repent, have the sin in their conscience
forgiven; because without the Spirit they can no longer believe in Jesus as
their Lord, and our sins are forgiven us by faith. Their denial that Jesus is
God openly shames their Savior’s atoning grace; who by
His crucifixion on the cross once redeemed them from their sins when they
believed in Him.
*For in the case of those who have once been enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly gift
and have been made partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers
of the age to come, and then
have fallen away, it is impossible
to renew them again to repentance, since they again crucify to themselves the Son of God and put Him to open shame. Heb 6: 4-6 NASB+
Jesus later on
would also give us 2 more unforgiveable sins in Revelation; the 1st is if any change the
book of Revelation in any way. The 2nd
is if any take the mark of the beast. These 2 sins will never be forgiven even
if we have the Spirit in our hearts when we commit them, and are children of
God. Since these sins can never be forgiven our spiritual being can never become holy again, can never be saved; will be
sinful and thrown into Hades and then Hell. We should all study Revelation for
the blessing (Rev 1:3) we will receive; to learn the perils
believers will face. We believe Jesus will
return for us after the tribulation;
but before the wrath of God.
*I warn everyone
who hears the words of the prophecy of
this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this
book, and if anyone takes
away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which
are described in this book. Rev 22:18-19 ESV+
*Then a third angel followed them, saying
with a loud voice, "If anyone
worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full
strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone
in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the
smoke of their torment ascends forever
and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his
image, and whoever receives the mark of his name." Rev 14:9-11 NKJV+
Jesus also tells
us He will never blot out of the “Book of Life” those who overcome; and Hebrews
tells we must have endurance and we shall live by faith. For if we shrink back
our Heavenly Father will have no pleasure in us; we will not overcome and our
names will be blotted out of the “Book of Life”.
*He who
overcomes shall be clothed in white
garments, and I will not blot out
his name from the Book of Life;
but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels. Rev 3:5 NKJV+
*For you
have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised. For,
“Yet a little while, and the coming one will come and will not delay; but my righteous one shall live by faith,
and if he shrinks back, my soul has no
pleasure in him.” Heb 10:36-38
ESV+
If we go on
sinning after receiving the indwelling of the Spirit and He gives us the
knowledge of the truth; then we love the sins of the world more than our God.
And the Spirit will be pushed out of our hearts by the conscience in our
physical mind, which becomes sinful when it loves the lusts of the world more
than our God. Even Paul knew that he could be disqualified, lose the indwelling
of the Holy Spirit if he did not control his body, make it his slave; a slave
to Jesus who died to save Him.
*For if
we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a terrifying expectation of judgment
and the fury of
a fire which will consume the
adversaries. Heb 10:26-27 NASB+
*Therefore I run in such a way, as not without aim; I box in such a way, as
not beating the air; but I
discipline my body and make it my
slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified. 1Co 9:26-27 NASB+
Yet we should
always remember, except for the unforgiveable sins in God’s Word; our Heavenly
Father will take sinners back as His children. If they will surrender their
human will to our Heavenly Father once more, He will forgive their sins; put
the Spirit in their hearts, so they will strive to sin no more. And those who
were spiritually dead, can become spiritually alive as
children of God once more. Read whole story of
prodigal son Lk 15:11-32
*"And not many days later, the younger son gathered everything together and went on a journey into a distant
country, and there he squandered his
estate with loose living. Lk 15:13 NASB+
*"And the son said to him, 'Father, I
have sinned against heaven and in
your sight; I am no longer worthy to
be called your son.' Lk 15:21 NASB+
*For
this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' So
they began to celebrate. Lk 15:24 NIV+
It is sometimes hard to know
whether one has forsaken their God and the Spirit does not live within their
hearts; and they need to be born again. Or whether one has gotten themselves
lost in the sins of this world, has abandoned God for a while; yet still
believes in God, and loves Him. And the Spirit has continued to sanctify them
through this period; because He knows their faith will soon bring them back to
their Savior once more.
*In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to
pray for, but the Spirit himself
intercedes for us with groans that
words cannot express. And he who
searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit
intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will. Ro 8:26-27 NIV+
For all believers,
those coming back to our Father after they have done much sinning, and those
who are unsure they are children of God; do not wait to come to your Father,
surrender your human will by asking Him to forgive your sins, and ask Him to
fill you with the Spirit so He can guide you all the days of your life. Our
Father will forgive your sins, give you the Spirit so you can learn more; and
the more you learn, the more knowledge our Father will give you. Yet those who
wait, risk losing what little faith they may have; for our Father will take it
from them.
"If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your
children, how much more will your
heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit
to those who ask Him?" Lk 11:13 NASB+
*Therefore consider carefully how you listen. Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even
what he thinks he has will be taken from him." Lk 8:18 NIV+
7. How our spiritual being (soul, spirit, heart part of spirit) comes into Kingdom of God, then Heaven
While living
on earth
Believers’
spiritual beings come into the Kingdom of God when we receive the indwelling of
the Holy Spirit; for the Kingdom of God is righteousness, peace, and joy in the
Holy Spirit. When the Spirit is in our hearts, Jesus and His Father make their
home there too; and our spiritual being becomes part of God’s holy Kingdom, for
He lives there.
*for the kingdom
of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness
and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Ro 14:17 NKJV+
*Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me,
he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. Jn 14:23 NKJV+
Since our
spiritual being is spiritually united with Jesus; He takes our spiritual being
up with Him to His Father’s Throne in Heaven. Though while our spiritual being
lives in our physical body; we are unaware of what is spiritually happening in
Heaven; yet we know our spiritual being is receiving all the spiritual
blessings from Heaven above to strengthen our love for our God.
*And God
raised us up with Christ and seated
us with him in the heavenly realms
in Christ Jesus, Eph
2:6 NIV+
*Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord
Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in
Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, Eph 1:3 ESV+
When human physical beings
die
When unbelievers’
physical beings (physical body, mind,
conscience) die, they are
sinful and cannot come into Heaven; they return to the dust of the earth from
which they came. Unbelievers’ eternal spiritual beings are also sinful and go
into the torment of Hades; then Hell
at the second resurrection of the White Throne Judgment.
*But if Christ
is in you, your body is dead because
of sin, yet your spirit is alive
because of righteousness. Ro 8:10 NIV+
*The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and
Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. Then Death
and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found
written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire. Rev 20:13-15 NKJV+
Believers’
physical beings (physical body, mind,
conscience), are likewise
sinful and cannot come into Heaven. Yet our spiritual beings are holy (righteous)
and come into Heaven above when our physical being dies; and wait in all of the
glory of Heaven for Jesus to return and give us glorified bodies.
*I tell you this, brothers: flesh and blood cannot
inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.
1Co 15:50 ESV+
*For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live on in the flesh, this will
mean fruit from my labor; yet what I shall choose I cannot tell. For I
am hard pressed between the two, having
a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better. Phil 1:21-23 NKJV+
Note 1st verse
in paragraph above; our physical being is anything which is flesh
and blood; which includes our physical body, brain, mind, and conscience
which is part of our mind. This includes anything in our mind a doctor
can see with their new technology. When our physical being dies,
our physical mind is no longer with us, is dust in the ground. We will not
remember any bad things which happened to us, or which we did; will not be able
to ask the Lord why anything happened on earth. We will not remember any person
who is not going to Heaven, even our relatives; because our spirit will know no
evil.
Our spirit will only know holy
and God pleasing thoughts; we will first want to meet Jesus face to face. Then
we will meet all the other spiritual beings who are our brothers and sisters;
we will know them as we will fully be known by them, live in a glorious place
where we all live together praising our God.
*For now
we see in a mirror dimly, but then
face to face. Now I know in part;
then I shall know fully, even as I have
been fully known.
1Co 13:12 ESV+
Then Jesus will return in the clouds, bringing down with Him
all the spiritual beings (soul, spirit, heart part of spirit) of those who have
physically died in Christ and are living in Heaven. Jesus will resurrect their
physical bodies from the dead, and unite them with their spiritual beings from
Heaven. Then He will gather up (Rapture) all
believers who are still living on earth up to Him in the clouds.
*Now concerning
the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our
being gathered together to him, 2Thess 2:1
ESV+
*For the Lord
Himself will descend from heaven
with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And
the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain
shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 1Thess 4:16-17 NKJV+
Then Jesus will glorify all the believers’ bodies; both those
which have been resurrected from the dead and united with their spiritual
being, and those which have been gathered up (Raptured) while still physically alive; in the
twinkling of an eye. And Jesus will then take all of us back to Heaven with
eternal glorified bodies, to be with Him forever.
*Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all
sleep, but we shall all be changed, in
a moment, in the twinkling of an eye,
at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. 1Co 15:51-52 ESV+
*who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His
glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue
all things to Himself. Phil 3:21 NKJV+
*that in the
dispensation of the fullness of the times He
might gather together in one all things in Christ,
both which are in heaven and which are on earth--in Him. Eph
