Homosexuality

We are tired of hearing the false information in the news, on the air, about homosexuality, and cross dressing. Explicitly how God made homosexuals, cross dressers, so He must have been willing to accept their lifestyle. We are also concerned that many congregational leaders now accept this false premise, and are telling everyone homosexuals and cross dressers lifestyles are acceptable to our Heavenly Father. Let’s look into the Word of God and see what it says.

Homosexuality is a sin.

Our Heavenly Father told us physical acts between members of the same sex is a sin, for homosexuality is an abomination to our God. All who committed these acts under the Old Covenant Law were subject to physical death, their spiritual being going to Hell, to await our God’s final judgment.

*You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination. Lev 18:22 NKJV+

*If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them. Lev 20:13 NKJV+

*then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment, and especially those who indulge in the lust of defiling passion and despise authority. 2Pe 2:9-10 ESV+

The physical penalties for many Old Covenant sins ended when the transition from the Old Covenant to the New Covenant was completed in 70 AD. We are now under the New Covenant of grace which Jesus ushered in when He died on the cross, as atonement for of our sins. Yet Jesus tells us what was morally abominable to His Father in the Old Covenant, will be morally abominable to His Father forever. Jesus clearly warned us, those who love any abominable act, which clearly includes homosexuality, more than they love our Savior, will have a second death. They will be thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone when Jesus returns.

*But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."  Rev 21:7-8 NKJV+

Paul clearly tells us, no one who believes homosexual acts are acceptable to God, and engages in them, will enter the Kingdom of God.

*Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. 1Co 6:9-10 NASB+

Paul also tells us that even lusting after another of the same sex is a sin. That homosexuality is a sin for both men and women.

*Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion. Ro 1:26-27 NIV+

Cross dressing is a sin.

It is also a sin to desire to be the opposite sex, purposely dress to look like them, or act like them. Those who try to become like the opposite sex, including dressing like them, are an abomination to the Father.

*"A woman shall not wear man's clothing, nor shall a man put on a woman's clothing; for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord your God. Dt 22:5 NASB+

Jesus clearly tells us a second time in Revelation, no person will ever enter into the Kingdom of Heaven who practices any act which is an abomination to our Heavenly Father. This is while all were living under the New Covenant of Christ’s grace.

*and nothing unclean, and no one who practices abomination and lying, shall ever come into it, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life. Rev 21:27 NASB+

We are all imperfect sinners, we all have different weaknesses which will cause us to fall short, cause us to sin, including the above sexual sins. We will always need the grace of Jesus to have our sins forgiven, the Spirit to help us as we strive to overcome our sinful human nature. It will always be hard homosexuals or cross dressers to give up the desire for their sexual lifestyles. The only way anyone can overcome the different trials we will face, is with the help of our God. For with God all things are possible.

*Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. Ja 1:12 NASB+

*But Jesus looked at them and said, "With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible." Mk 10:27 NKJV+

We must be prepared for the leaders the homosexuals and cross dressers will seek out to reinterpret the Word for them. Leaders who will attempt to make homosexual and cross dressing lifestyles compatible with and acceptable to the Word of God.

*For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. 2Ti 4:3-4 NIV+

*Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. 2Co 4:2 NIV+

Yet Jesus told us in very blunt and extreme language, that we must give up our human will, and accept the will of our Heavenly Father, to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. And anyone who loves their sinful sexual lifestyle more than Jesus, is not worthy of Him.

*And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire-- Mk 9:47 NKJV*

*And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. Matt 10:38 NKJV+

Do not be fooled into believing one can merely continue to have sinful immoral relationships and except God to forgive them. For if any continue to willfully sin God will no longer forgive their sins; and they will no longer be children of God. We must all hate sin, strive to sin no more; do everything in our power to keep from sinning, from putting ourselves in a situation where we will sin. So we can be forgiven of all of our sins by our faith in Jesus; never shrinking back from our love for our Savior, His commands.

*For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sinsbut a terrifying expectation of judgment and the fury of a fire which will consume the adversaries. Heb 10:26-28 NASB+

*but my righteous one shall live by faith, and if he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him.” Heb 10:38 ESV+

We will always have to live with, deal with homosexuals, and cross dressers in this present generation. And we are to love all people, pray for all people, do good unto all people, this includes homosexuals and cross dressers. That they may turn away from their sins, come to Jesus, have all their sins forgiven, and become children of God, our brothers and sisters.

*"But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate youbless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you. Lk 6:27-28 NKJV+

Yet our Father would not have us bound together with any unbelievers, including those who believe that engaging in homosexuality and cross dressing is not a sin. We should find, only be part of a fellowship, that loves our God, that follows His will. And also accurately follow the truth of God’s Word, and denounce any who would stray from it.

*Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness? 2Co 6:14 NASB+

*Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth. 2Ti 2:15 NASB+

All who hear the Word of God and keep it are blessed. Those who overcome their trials, have an inheritance waiting for them in Heaven. So let it be dear Lord for all of us.

*But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it. Lk 11:28 KJV

*He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. Rev 21:7 NKJV+
