Our Great God

Our God is one spiritual being, comprised of 3 distinct spiritual beings united together to form one eternal spiritual being. The 3 distinct spiritual beings of the Father, His Son, and the Holy Spirit have always been holy, each set apart without error or blemish; as designated by the 2nd verse below as holy, holy, holy are the ones who are our one God, the Lord God Almighty.

*Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit: Matt 28:19 ASV

*And the four living creatures, each of them with six wings, are full of eyes all around and within, and day and night they never cease to say, “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!” Rev 4:8 ESV+

Our God, is an eternal spiritual being without a beginning or end.

*Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God. Ps 90:2 NIV+

*For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: "I dwell in the high and holy place, With him who has a contrite and humble spirit, To revive the spirit of the humble, And to revive the heart of the contrite ones. Isa 57:15 NKJV+

*Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen. 1Ti 1:17 NASB+

Yet the spiritual essence of our God changed 3 times when the Son of God came down from Heaven and became a physical man, became Jesus to save us from our sins. The Son while still united together as part of the eternal Godhead (Father, Son and Holy Spirit), yet a separate spiritual being; had His spiritual being united together with the physical being and spiritual being of a man in the womb of Mary; and was now both the Son of God and the Son of Man, who was called Jesus. Jesus would change His essence, therefore the essence of God, again after He physically died on the cross and went to the tomb; now Jesus would only be a spiritual being, the Son of God’s spiritual being united to Jesus’ human spiritual being (His human soul and spirit). And the third and last time the Jesus would change His very essence along with the essence of God; was when He was given a glorified body after He physically arose from the dead on Resurrection Day (Easter). Jesus who is both the Son of God, and the Son of Man; now sits on the right hand of the Father in Heaven above in a glorified body interceding for us. See Jesus Is First

Son of God, Son of Man

*And the unclean spirits, whenever they saw Him, fell down before Him and cried out, saying, "You are the Son of God." But He sternly warned them that they should not make Him known. Mk 3:11-12 NKJV+

*When all the people were baptized, it came to pass that Jesus also was baptized; and while He prayed, the heaven was opened. And the Holy Spirit descended in bodily form like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from heaven which said, "You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased." Lk 3:21-22 NKJV+

*But from now on the Son of Man shall be seated at the right hand of the power of God.” Lk 22:69

Human body

*And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. Jn 1:14 ESV+

*For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority. Col 2:9-10 NIV+

Human spirit

Then Jesus, calling out with a loud voice, said, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!” And having said this he breathed his last. Lk 23:46 ESV+

*For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit ; in which also He went and made proclamation to the spirits now in prison 1Pe 3:18-19 NASB+

Glorified Body

*See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Touch me, and see. For a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have.” Lk 24:39 ESV+

*who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself. Phil 3:21 ESV+

Our Heavenly Father and the Holy Spirit are still spiritual beings, united together with Son’s spiritual being which lives in the glorified physical body of Jesus, and together they are one eternal being, one holy eternal God.

*I and My Father are one." Jn 10:30 NKJV+

*"Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; otherwise believe because of the works themselves. Jn 14:11 NASB+

*The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen. 2Co 13:14 NKJV+

Our God is love. There is only one true God who is all powerful, all knowing, and yet His greatest attribute is the great love He has for us.  Our God was not created, but has always been, and will be forever. He has always, is now, and will forever create and rule over all things.

*God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. 1Jn 4:16 NIV+

*Before the mountains were brought forth, Or ever You had formed the earth and the world, Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God. Ps 90:2 NKJV+

*"Know therefore today, and take it to your heart, that the Lord, He is God in heaven above and on the earth below; there is no other. Dt 4:39 NASB+

Our God made everything that exists, is Lord over heaven and earth, and gives life to all things.

*By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible. Heb 11:3 NIV+

*God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. Nor is He worshiped with men's hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things. Ac 17:24-25 NKJV

Our God is an eternal spiritual being, with a spirit and soul.

*God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship in spirit and truth. Jn 4:24 ASV

*Behold, my servant whom I have chosen; My beloved in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my Spirit upon him, And he shall declare judgment to the Gentiles. Matt 12:18 ASV

His presence is everywhere, He is present with us no matter where we go.

*"'Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool.  ptn Ac 7:49 NIV+

*Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there! If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me. Ps 139:7-10 ESV+

Our human minds cannot comprehend the spiritual nature of our God, the spiritual universe He lives in, how He spiritually unites with us. Why He wants us to be His children, and has prepared a place in Heaven for us. How He rules His mighty universe, and yet can spiritually live in our hearts.

*If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things? Jn 3:12 NKJV+

*Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen. 1Ti 1:17 NASB+

*Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 1Co 3:16 NKJV+

Yet our God gives us enough knowledge to understand what He would have us do. And He gives us the faith to accept that which we cannot understand through His Word.

*For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. Col 1:9 NIV+

*So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Ro 10:17 NKJV+

# Our Father is the Master Planner of the whole universe, of everything that ever was created or will be created. He is our true Father, loves us dearly, and desires us to be His true children.

*But God made the earth by his power; he founded the world by his wisdom and stretched out the heavens by his understanding. Jer 10:12 NIV+

*Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven. Matt 23:9 NKJV

*How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. 1Jn 3:1 NIV+

# The Father’s only Son is the Activator, is also called the Word, because He completes the words, the commands which come out of His Father’s mouth. That which His Father has said, has promised, every part of His Father’s master plan for us.

*In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. Jn 1:1-3 NKJV

*so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. Isa 55:11 NIV+

*Praise him, all his angels; praise him, all his hosts! Praise him, sun and moon, praise him, all you shining stars! Praise him, you highest heavens, and you waters above the heavens!  Let them praise the name of the Lord! For he commanded and they were created. And he established them forever and ever; he gave a decree, and it shall not pass away. Ps 148:2-6 ESV+

The Father’s Son is united together with the Father and Holy Spirit as one invisible; who became the physical image of God when He came down from Heaven and became a human man. The firstborn reproduced from a  physical woman’s womb (Mary) whose spiritual and physical being were holy, remained holy for Jesus never sinned.

*He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. Col 1:15-17 NIV+

*For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2Co 5:21 NKJV+

*but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe. Heb 1:2 NIV+

The Son implemented His Father’s plan of salvation by coming down to earth and becoming a physical man, Jesus, while spiritually remaining God. Jesus became both the Son of God, and the Son of Man. Jesus was the Christ, the promised Messiah of the Father, who would save all believers from their sins. Note: The Son came down from Heaven to become Jesus, so He could save us. Jesus did not come down from Heaven to save us, for Jesus did not exist until He was created on earth as a man, by the Holy Spirit, in the womb of Mary.

*And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. Jn 1:14+

*And they all said, "Are You the Son of God, then?" And He said to them, "Yes, I am."  Lk 22:70 NASB+

*He then began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, chief priests and teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and after three days rise again. Mk 8:31 NIV+

Jesus did the will of His Father by giving up His physical life, by allowing His spirit to endure Hell, to become an acceptable sacrifice for the atonement of all believers’ sins. On the third day the Spirit gave Jesus’ physical being life once again, by uniting His body with His spirit once more. Our Savior had overcome sin, will freely forgive the sins of those who love Him, who obey His commands, who repentantly ask for His forgiveness. Forty days after He had arisen from physical death, Jesus ascended into Heaven, where He sits at the right hand of God.

*He sent forth his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave. Ps 107:20 NIV+

*For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit, 1Pe 3:18 NIV+

*Hereafter the Son of Man will sit on the right hand of the power of God." Lk 22:69 NKJV+

Christ will come again in the last days to rule over all things. He will gather together all believers, give them eternal life in Heaven. This includes both those who are living and those whom He will make alive once more as He unites their dead bodies with their living souls. All unbelievers’ bodies and souls will also be reunited, and be condemned to eternal damnation in the lake of fire.

*In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. Jn 14:2-4 KJV

*who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body. Phil 3:21 NIV+

*And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire. Rev 20:15 NKJV+

# The Holy Spirit creates all spiritual and human life. In the beginning when man was created, the Son made Adam physically out of clay, and then He breathed the Spirit into Adam. The Spirit gave Adam life by creating an eternal spiritual being within him. After we have been conceived by a man and a woman, the Spirit gives life to us when He creates an eternal spiritual being within us.

*You send forth Your Spirit, they are created; And You renew the face of the earth. Ps 104:30 NKJV+

*That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Jn 3:6 ASV

*And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. Gen 2:7 NKJV+

But more importantly the Spirit now gives all believers eternal spiritual life. In the New Covenant, after Jesus had atoned for our sins, believers could become spiritually holy once more, we could now receive the Spirit within us. Jesus breathed the Holy Spirit upon His disciples, their sins were spiritually washed away as they received the Spirit, and they were brought into the spiritual Kingdom of God.

*And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Spirit: Jn 20:22 ASV

*Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of GodJn 3:5 NASB+

*nor will they say, 'See here!' or 'See there!' For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you." Lk 17:21 NKJV+

The Spirit is the Enabler. The Spirit enables us to know our God, opening our hearts to His truths, and enlightens us through the Scriptures.

*and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Spirit. 1Cor 12:3 NKJV+

*Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, 1Co 2:12 NASB+

The Spirit comes into and dwells in believers’ hearts, sanctifying them, holding them together as the children of God.

*That good thing which was committed to you, keep by the Holy Spirit who dwells in us. 2Ti 1:14 NKJV+

*to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles with the priestly duty of proclaiming the gospel of God, so that the Gentiles might become an offering acceptable to God, sanctified by the Holy Spirit. Ro 15:16 NIV+

Our God loves us dearly. Our Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit work together to keep us children of our Heavenly Father, heirs of His Heavenly Kingdom.

*The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 1Jn 4:8 NASB+

*who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and sprinkling by his blood: 1Pe 1:2 NIV+

Believers are children of the Father.

*The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs--heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. Ro 8:16-17 NIV+

*Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, Phil 2:14-15 NKJV+

The Son, Jesus, is our eldest brother, who gave His life on the cross so we could come into His family, become His brother.

*For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. Ro 8:29 NIV+

*He replied, "My mother and brothers are those who hear God's word and put it into practice." Lk 8:21 NIV+

*Both the one who makes men holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers. Heb 2:11 NIV+

The Spirit is our Helper and our Comforter as He keeps us in the family of God.

*For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. Ro 8:14 KJV

*For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, Ro 14:17 NIV+

The Spirit through the Word will teach us who our great God is. Yet we will never be able to know the magnitude of our God’s love for us, until He takes us to our eternal home in Heaven above. For our God’s great love, His exalting glory, completely exceeds the imagination of any mortal mind.

*But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. Jn 14:26 NKJV+

*Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. 1Co 13:12 NIV+
