Daily Reminders

Would like to add a few lines a young Christian girl gave me.

Everyday is a good day

Because God made it in His own way

And every minute is a good minute

Because God is in it

The simplicity of children’s faith still overwhelms me. Their ability to trust Jesus without any of the conditions or complications our human mind gropes with as we grow older. The trusting love given back by children to their Savior gives us a glimpse of what complete surrender, unaltered humility, total acceptance without any question, is all about.  It is no wonder that out of the mouths of babes God does perfect praise (Matt 21:16).

The Lord will help us all, He has the whole world in His hands, watching over those He loves, tenderly taking care of His children. All may not go as we plan, but Jesus is there to pick us up and carry us through our trials, our troubles, until we all meet in Heaven above.

It is not what you can do for Christ, it is what Christ can do through you.

*But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. Matt 19:26 KJV

We can study Scripture’s laws that condemn us to everlasting death or accept Christ’s grace which brings us eternal life.

*For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Eph 2:8-9 KJV

We can hammer away trying to change another’s mind, or quietly bring them to the Holy Spirit who will open their hearts to Christ.

*…that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. 1 Co 12:3 KJV

We must put physical blessings in perspective with spiritual blessings. For what is 40, 80, even 100 years on earth compared to eternity in Heaven. We will have more than a thousand, more than a million, more than a trillion years in Heaven. I can’t even comprehend this much time, but will not have to worry about it. For there is no time in Heaven, it’s just forever. We should love our Lord, our neighbor, and live as our Savior would have us live. Thereby receiving spiritual blessings that will be eternal, instead of worrying about physical blessings that will pass away when we die.

* Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Matt 20:19-21 KJV

We have nothing to fear, but fear itself. And fear is merely an human emotion which is pushed out of our hearts by the love of our Savior. For Christ is always with us in this world, and will be eternally with us in Heaven above.

*For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39 KJV

Today will be a good day, tomorrow will be a better one, and the next day will even be greater.  For all believers know that each day brings us one day closer to coming home to live with Jesus in Paradise forever.

*For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. Phi 1:21 KJV

We will never be able to comprehend everything about God and His Spiritual Kingdome.  For that which we cannot understand we must ask God to instill in our hearts the love and faith needed to trust in Him until all things are explained to us in Heaven above.  Many scoff at believing in something you cannot fathom.  But one can enjoy the beautiful color and fragrance of a flower without understanding why it looks or smells so good.  We still do not understand how or why a tornado occurs, but we are smart enough to get out of its way.  We know the peace God brings to our hearts when we talk with Him in prayer, even though we cannot physically comprehend how it is accomplished.  Our God is a Spirit, a Spirit of love and power, truth and wisdom, of might and tenderness, of majesty and compassion, of anger at evil and of patience waiting for us to return to the fold.  Our God is all knowing and all forgiving, present everywhere in His vast universe, yet lives within our hearts.  He opens His arms for all to come to Him, yet separates the wheat from the chaff, burning the chaff in Hell.  He is truthful keeping all His promises and just being fair to all, avenging those who have been mistreated.  He desires constantly to talk with us, and is angry when we put other gods or pleasures before Him.  He is the best friend we will ever have, and the most powerful enemy to those who would take us from His tender care.

Abide in me and I in you. John 15:4 KJV

The greatest gift we will ever be given is the love of our Almighty God. The greatest gift we can ever give is to pass His love on to others. And the more love we give to our Lord, to all people, the more love our Lord will give us.

Jesus feeds us spiritual bread so hope will always stay

Gives us living water to take all of our sins away

Clothes us in love that binds believers in one accord

Brings us to Heaven to live forever with our Lord
