Meet With God
We
must close our eyes and quietly visualize
Spiritually being with Jesus in the heavenly skies
Quietly talking with our eldest
brother one on one
Yet knowing Christ’s great majesty as
God’s first born son
Find a comfortable spot and
relax a moment. Visualize looking down on the world, seeing yourself on the
earth below. Picture your soul coming out of your body, gently soaring into the
heavens above. Then mentally become one with your spirit, the heart, the mind,
the control center of your soul. As you begin your spiritual visit with the
Lord you feel refreshed. All the physical pains, aches, cravings, or wants of
the body are left behind. All the sins of the flesh, greed, power, lust, and
pride are no longer present. As you come into the spiritual Kingdom of God you
feel the power and glory of your Heavenly Father all around you. You are
engulfed in His eternal love for all the faithful. You are awestruck, yet you
feel peace, joy, and serenity. You tremble at His great glory, yet you have
never been so relaxed, have never felt so wonderful, have never been so
happy.
The Spirit like a wind blows by our
face
Illuminating our belief in Christ’s
atoning grace
Living in our soul, watching over it
with one accord
Making us spotless to become one with
our Lord
You hear the Spirit like
the wind all around you. He asks to come into your heart, to guide you, to keep
you in the love and grace of Jesus Christ. As you open your heart to the Spirit
there suddenly appears an outline of a cross with Christ hanging on it in pain
and agony. Suddenly all joy disappears and guilt overwhelms you. Your selfish
pleasures and disobedience forced Christ to come down from Heaven and be the
sacrificial lamb. But the Spirit, knowing your need for repentance, brings you
face to face with Jesus Christ.
Our spirit humbly comes before Jesus
in the heavens above
Where we are surrounded by our
Savior’s immeasurable love
A love that knows all extremes and
extent
A love that makes us freely want to
repent
You fall at the feet of
your Redeemer and beg for forgiveness. Jesus not only forgives all of your
sins, but remembers them no more. Jesus then bids you walk with Him through a
beautiful garden, visiting with a Master who is your brother, who would be your
best friend. You can talk with Jesus about anything, and know He will listen,
answering your questions and concerns. You feel the Savior’s love all around
you, and you desire to pass this love on to all, loving others as Christ loves
you. Jesus then leads us into a large gathering.
We come to unite with all the saints
as one throng
Praising our awesome God with prayers
and song
We are one with all in Heaven and
earth below
Our praises echoing everywhere, our
Savior to extol
You are part of the family of
God, all your brothers and sisters in Christ, those who are living and those
who have gone before you. Together you join with these loved ones and the
Heavenly Host in songs and praises to your Lord. You band together with your
Christian family to stay in the love, faith, truth and grace of Jesus Christ.
You are but one small glowing ember joining multitudes of other embers that
together burst out in a large flame that proclaims the greatness of an awesome
God.
When our meditation is done,
our soul does descend
Back to the world and our bodies once
again
Striving to hold fast to the Savior
we adore
Until we can be spiritually
strengthened once more
After meditating, after
being spiritually fed, your soul once more must come back to the sinful world, your
physical body. You will face daily battles, your flesh will tempt you, and
Satan will wear down your faith. The only antidote is to daily take time to be
with your God, to allow the Spirit to renew your faith.
We struggle through this world each
in our own way
Waiting for Jesus to take us home on
our last day
Then we will live with our Lord
forevermore
And have with Him an everlasting
ongoing rapport
We must have patience and
face adversity until Jesus brings us home to Heaven. Heaven where we can share
our Master’s glory with all believers in one accord, yet be able to quietly
visit one on one with our Lord.
