Let the Spirit Guide
You Through the Word
Our salvation is a spiritual battle, not a physical battle, is totally about who controls our will. It is about the intent in our hearts, the love within our hearts. For if we love our God unconditionally, we will follow His commands, do His will. Our Father created us with a free will, the ability to control our own minds. But our minds are human, are imperfect and can be deceived by others. We can also deceive ourselves, by our own worldly thoughts and desires. If one’s heart, their will, is not guided by the Spirit through the entire context of Scripture, they can easily become part of the accept and reject generation. Accepting the Lord, His Word, in all things which fit into their lifestyles. Rejecting the Lord, His truths, which are incompatible with their own human reasoning, are not considered politically correct by the society in which they live, take away from the worldly pleasures they enjoy, or cause any disruption in their lives. But there is no middle ground, you are either for God or against God. You either completely give up your will to God, or you control you own will with the help of Satan. You either become slaves of God, or slaves of Satan. You are either holy children of God with an inheritance of Heaven, or sinful beings with Satan as your father, with Hell awaiting you. For God knows the intent in our hearts, we cannot hide our real thoughts from Him.
*No man can serve two
masters; for either he will hate
the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to one, and despise the other.
Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Matt 6:23-25 ASV
*Don't you know that when
you offer yourselves to someone to obey him as slaves, you are slaves to the
one whom you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to
obedience, which leads to righteousness? Ro 6:16
NIV+
The battles we are fighting have been fought before. The sins we are tempted with have been overcome before by those before us who had Jesus in their hearts. The Word tells us about them, including:
There is more than
one antichrist.
There are antichrists who have already come and gone, who have brought their evil upon the world. There will continue to be antichrists, those who come in the spirit of the antichrist who will test believers’ faith and love for their Savior, until the final antichrist comes.
*Little children, it is the last hour: and as ye heard that antichrist cometh, even now have there arisen many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last hour. 1John 2:18 ASV
There have been many antichrists in the past. Paul, Peter
and others in the New Testament would live during the reign of the
*
For many deceivers are gone forth into
the world, even they that confess not that Jesus Christ cometh in the
flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist. 2Jn
1:7 ASV
*The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith
and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come
through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot
iron. 1Ti 4:1-2 NIV+
There have been and will always be false prophets who will deceive Christians. Congregational leaders have claimed they were equal to God. Other leaders have sold the right of praying the dead to Heaven for the profit of the money they would receive.
There will always be false teachers, fulfilling their egos, wanting to gain prestige, money.
*And many false prophets shall rise, and shall
deceive many. Matt 24:11 KJV
*Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus
is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. 1Jn 2:22 KJV
Believers have had their faith tested, will have their faith tested until Christ comes again. Some more severely than others, with many believers having their lives taken for standing up for their Savior.
*Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. 1Jn 4:1-3 ASV
The real antichrist
will be the hardest test for all who do not have Jesus in their hearts:
For our Heavenly Father will give a delusion to those who are not His Children, to those who have not accepted Jesus as their Savior, and they will believe the lies of the antichrist.
*The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, and in every sort of evil and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness. 2Thess 2:9-12 NIV+
In end times the real antichrist will come to power. He will be given the authority to rule over the world for 42 months, 3.5 years. Those who live during this period need to remain faithful to Jesus, even to death.
*The beast was given a
mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise his authority for forty-two months. He opened his mouth
to blaspheme God, and to slander his name and his dwelling place and those who
live in heaven. He was given power to make war against the saints and to
conquer them. And he was given authority over every tribe, people, language and
nation. All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast—all whose names
have not been written in the book of life belonging to the Lamb that was slain
from the creation of the world. He who has an ear, let
him hear. If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity he will go.
If anyone is to be killed with the sword, with the sword he will be
killed.
This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of the
saints.
Rev 13:5-12 NSV+
We must be prepared
for any false prophets or leaders, any antichrists including the last real
antichrist:
By allowing the Spirit to guide us to the truths in God’s Word.
Jesus asked His Father to help believers find the truth in the Word:
*Sanctify them in the truth: thy word is truth.
Jn
17:17 ASV
By always growing in the Word, always checking anything we are told by anyone, even those we worship with. We must all grow in the Word, including last day prophecies, Always searching out the truth in the Word. Let the Scriptures prepare us for all we can face in our lives.
*
For the word of God is living, and
active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the
dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and quick to discern the thoughts and intents
of the heart.
Heb 4:12 ASV
By loving our God more than anything else, more than anything in the world.
*Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
1Jn 2:15 ASV
By realizing how great our God is. When Jesus comes again He will break the power of Satan, of all evil. Will bring us to our home in Heaven to live with Him forever.
*"Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with
me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. I am the
Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.
"Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to
the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city. Outside are the
dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the
idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. Rev:12-15 NIV+
