Brief Introduction to Politics – End Times

Our elections in the United States did not go well for Christians this year. For the first time in the United States we do not have a Christian government, one that supports our Christ based beliefs. Our new president, our senate leader, our house leader, and the majorities elected in both houses of congress will be in opposition to many of the basic Christian moral values we try to live by, the very values our country was founded on. Our new leadership believes liberalism, combined with socialism, is the answer to all of our countries problems. But secular liberalism is a man made idealism with no intrinsic values or morals, its only goal is obtaining and maintaining power by any means. Secular liberalism entices one with lies, envy, and half truths that can’t come to fruition, encapsulating many with false promises of desires and dreams which will never happen. Socialism will make shambles out of our nation’s economy, taking away our power, our influence, and our ability to help throughout the world. This will enable the latter time prophesy events of war (Rev 6:4), famine due to lack of money (Rev 6:6), and death by pestilence and disease to happen (Rev 6:8). Satan, the father of all lies and deceit (Jn 8:44), watches, encourages, helps those who spin his web of deceit as they begin to entrap the world. This brings the time of Satan’s brief rule over the earth through the anti-Christ (1Jn 1:18), also called the man of lawlessness (2Th 2:3) or the beast (Rev 13:1-4), ever closer.

Many of the questions about Scriptural end time prophesy and how it would take place are much clearer now. Current events are putting end time prophesies in place, are a sign that Christ’s return is eminent (see Jewish Revival). Most world nations preceded the U.S.A. in abandoning Christian values as their basis for governing, are being guided by errant social world beliefs. With the present global economic crises emerging, a one world economic system is developing, and could be a reality in a short time. A one world government led by the anti-Christ could then be formed to control nations militarily, economically, environmentally, and by energy supply (Rev 13:5-8). We do not know when our Savior will return, but the signs are becoming clearer, the birthing pains are beginning (Mt 24:8). We must all be ready whether it is getting close, or whether it be another 50 years or much longer before Jesus returns.

The events that are taking place can be good or bad news, depending upon how you look at it. Good news that the prophecies are being fulfilled, that the time for Jesus to return and bring all into His Kingdom is getting closer, possibly very close. Bad news for the trials and troubles that will occur before Christ’s second coming for believers (Mt 24:9-13). But it will be even a worse catastrophe for those who fall prey to the antichrist’s powers, who are deluded by his words (2Th 2:9-11), do not stay faithful to Christ during his three and one half years of reign (Rev 13:5). All those who follow the antichrist will be cast into hell forever when our Savior returns (Rev 20:14). Christians have a spiritual battle to fight to persevere, to stay in Christ (Heb 10:35-39). There will be many false teachers trying to lead us astray (Mt 24:11). Many will have to give up their physical lives because they love their Lord more than their earthly existence (Mt 24:9). We must stay in the Spirit, letting Him guide us through all of the truths in Scripture which hold us in Christ’s atoning grace (1 Cor 2:6-16). We must work harder to bring our families, our loved ones, our friends, all those in the world to the knowledge and love of Jesus (Mt 24:14). We must bring a harvest home before it is too late (Rev 14:15). Always living in the full confidence that in Christ we are eternally secure, nothing spiritually or physically can ever separate us from our Lord.

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Ro 8:38-39 KJV
