Verses

All verses in this section help explain events in other sections of this series

To understand this diagram, the verses for them; one must know what our spiritual being (soul and spirit) and physical being (mind and body) are.

Faithful; those who followed God before Christ’s death - Believers; those who loved Jesus after His death

8. Jesus was the first fruits, first to receive indwelling of the Holy Spirit, when anointed by His Father

after John’s baptism; first while living on earth, have their human spiritual being enter Kingdom of God.

Jesus was born on the Day of Atonement Tishri 10, 5 BC, began His ministry about 30 years later in 26 AD (add year for crossing 0). Jesus could not begin His ministry under the Old Covenant ceremonial law until He was washed with water by a priest, to make him ceremonially righteous. Jesus asked John the Baptizer, who was a Priest of the Temple, to ceremonially wash, baptize Him with water; so He would be ceremonially righteous, and could begin His ministry.

*Now Jesus himself was about thirty years old when he began his ministry. He was the son, so it was thought, of Joseph, Lk 3:23 NIV+

*Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to John, to be baptized by him. John would have prevented him, saying, “I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?” But Jesus answered him, “Let it be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Matt 3:13-15 ESV

xxJesus came up out of the water of the Jordan river, was then anointed, given the indwelling of the Holy Spirit by His Heavenly Father; as the Holy Spirit descended on Jesus in bodily form, like a dove, so all who were watching would know what had happened. Jesus was the first, the firstborn/firstfruits to receive the indwelling of the Holy Spirit; and then be given gifts of the Spirit.  God had now prepared His Son Jesus to begin His ministry with the power of the Holy Spirit; and with that power Jesus overcame satan/devil in the desert.

*and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: "You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased." Lk 3:22 NIV+

*And Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit in the wilderness Lk 4:1 ESV+

xxAll the faitf under the Old Covenant law, had to wait for His atoning grace on the cross to have their spiritual beings made holy; so their spiritual beings could come into the 2nd Heaven, the Kingdom of God, while living on earth, when they physically died.

Only Jesus could have received the indwelling of the Holy Spirit at this time; for He alone was holy, His human spiritual being was holy, so the Holy Spirit could dwell, live within His human heart. No one else could receive the indwelling of the Holy Spirit until Jesus died for our sins, and those who would love our Savior above all things could have our sins forgiven, our spiritual beings made holy, receive the indwelling of the Holy Spirit so Jesus could live in our hearts as we come into the Kingdom of God while living on earth.

* Jesus holy

* Jesus live

* Least Kingdom of Heaven greater than John

Jesus did not have any spiritual power other than a normal man; for He was also the Son of Man. Jesus received all of His power through the Holy Spirit, who now lived in His human spiritual being.

*how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him. Ac 10:38 NIV+

*“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, Lk 4:18 ESV+

9. Jesus crucified Nisan 14, 30AD

30AD because see 14 also see 70AD -40 = 30AD

Jesus was crucified on Nisan 14 30AD; as our sins were laid upon Him as He hung on the cross, His physical body died, went

to a grave, a tomb in the side of a rock hill, with a stone covering up the entrance.

Jesus would minister for 3½ years, then on Friday Passover/Preparation Day Nisan 14 (March/April) 30 AD, Jesus gave His life on the cross to redeem us from our sins; by allowing the Roman governor Pontius Pilate to crucify Him.

*But Jesus said to him, "Put your sword in its place, for all who take the sword will perish by the sword. Or do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels? How then could the Scriptures be fulfilled, that it must happen thus?" Matt 26:52-54 NKJV+

*and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross , so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed. 1Pe 2:24 NASB+

Jesus was nailed to the cross between 9-12 AM; His sacrificial blood and death on the cross was replacing the need for the daily and Passover lambs to be sacrificed which would start at 12:30. The only sacrifice our Father would accept for sin; so believers’ spiritual beings could become holy.

*By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. Heb 10:10 NKJV+

*For by one offering has perfected for all time those who are sanctified Heb 10:14 NASB+

10. Jesus’ physical being (body and mind) could not die until our sins were placed on Him; for sin is what causes our physical being to die. And Jesus was sinless; He did not inherit Adam’s sin, nor commit any sin. He endured the curse all sinners under the law have to face; eternal death in Hell. He hung on a tree, was crucified in our place, so He could forgive the sins of all who would love Him; so our spiritual beings could become holy, we could become children of God.

*Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinnedRo 5:12 NASB+

*For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2Co 5:21 NKJV+

*Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us—for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree " Gal 3:13 NASB+

At the ninth hour (3 PM), Jesus had to endure the greatest torment and punishment of all; our sins were placed on Him and He was now forsaken, cursed by His Father.

*And at the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?" which is translated, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?" 15:34 NKJV+

When Jesus then said “It is finished”; He was referring to the pain and anguish His physical body had endured, which was now to end. And Jesus gave His spiritual being into the hands of His Father; and His human body and mind died.

*When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. Jn 19:30 ESV+

*Then Jesus, calling out with a loud voice, said, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!” And having said this he breathed his last. Lk 23:46 ESV+

11. Because Jesus’ spiritual being carried our sins; He had to descend to the torment of Hades

Jesus was born on the Day of Atonement being symbolized as the scapegoat. The goat who would have the sins of the world laid upon Him, who would carry these sins to Azazel; to the angels who are in Tartarus, a prison in the Abyss. And there in the most solitary land on earth deposit the all the sins the world would ever commit.

*Aaron shall lay both his hands on the head of the live goat, confess over it all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions, concerning all their sins, putting them on the head of the goat, and shall send it away into the wilderness by the hand of a suitable man. Lev 16:21 NKJV+

Christ’s physical being was dead, yet we all have an eternal spiritual being (soul and spirit) which if holy goes to Heaven or if sinful goes to Hades when our physical being dies. And because Jesus’ eternal human spiritual being was still carrying our sins which were laid upon Him on the cross; His eternal spiritual being was sinful, descended into Hades; when His physical being died.

* For you will not abandon my soul to Hades, or let your Holy One see corruption. Ac 2:27 ESV+

*he foresaw and spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that he was not abandoned to Hades, nor did his flesh see corruption. Ac 2:31 ESV+

There Jesus would have to suffer the torment of Hades in our place, to redeem us from having to go there. This was symbolized by the Passover lamb having to be roasted over flames, the same flames the rich man had to endure in Hades; for not loving God, His neighbor as himself.

*Do not eat it raw, nor boiled at all with water, but roasted in fire--its head with its legs and its entrails. Ex 12:9 NKJV+

*And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. Lk 16:24 KJV

Jesus died around 3pm, there would only be 2-3 hours left before Passover Day ended at sundown (around 6pm); then He would be in Heaven greeting the thief. This means Jesus could not have suffered in Hades more than 3 hours in our time. Remembering there is no time in the eternal world; in either Heaven or Hades, a day is like a 1,000 years (2Pe 3:8); making our hour over 40 years. So we really do not know how long Jesus had to suffer in Hades, until His Father accepted His sacrifice for our sins.

Jesus’ spiritual being punished until Father accepts His sacrifice; then descends Tartarus

Here our Father would accept Jesus’ sacrifice as atonement for the sins of all children of God; after His soul and spirit were made an offering for sin and suffered in Hades.

*Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief. When You make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, And the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand. Isa 53:10 NKJV+

*[He will see the results of the suffering of his soul] and be satisfied; by [knowledge of him] my righteous servant will justify many, and he will bear their iniquities. Is 53:11 NIV+

12. Jesus deposits the world’s sins He carried, left them in Tartarus; His spiritual being now holy, ascends into the 2nd Heaven

On verse azazel is in 2 times (think verse 8) scapegoat is not going to be delivered to the scape goat

Jesus’ spiritual being would deposit all the sins of the world which were laid upon Him on the cross, to the most solitary place there is; the deepest part of the pit in the earth, to Tartarus the prison in the Abyss. This was symbolized when Jesus became the scapegoat on the day He was born; the Day of Atonement (1. above).

*"Then Aaron shall lay both of his hands on the head of the live goat, and confess over it all the iniquities of the sons of Israel and all their transgressions in regard to all their sins; and he shall lay them on the head of the goat and send it away into the wilderness by the hand of a man who stands in readiness. "The goat shall bear on itself all their iniquities to a solitary land; and he shall release the goat in the wilderness. Lev 16:21-22 NASB+

*Then the fifth angel sounded: And I saw a star fallen from heaven to the earth. To him was given the key to the bottomless pit. And he opened the bottomless pit, and smoke arose out of the pit like the smoke of a great furnace. So the sun and the air were darkened because of the smoke of the pit. Rev 9:1-2 NKJV+

* that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, Phil 2:10 NKJV+

Though the book many credit Enoch (man who pleased God and did not physically die, is in Abraham’s Bosom, see 1b. above) with writing, which is not part of the Bible; in

Tartarus is used only once in the Bible, we believe it refers to special prisons in the deepest part of the Abyss where these demons who were once angels are now chained; is the 1st death for them. Hell refers to the 2nd death, when at the White Throne Judgment the demonic beings in the Abyss, and the human spiritual beings in Hades which is above the Abyss, will be thrown into Hell, the Lake of Fire forever. Should use NASB+ or NKJV+ they are correct in their use of Hades, Abyss (bottomless pit, prison, etc.), and Hell; we only differ with them on Tartarus, which we believe is a special word for the Abyss; which both interpret as Hell. See Hades, Abyss, Tartarus, Hell

Here in the deepest part of the Abyss [Tartarus], the prison where the spirits (angels now demons) who disobeyed God were chained; Jesus’ spiritual being (soul and spirit) proclaimed victory over death, over satan, to all the demons present at the prison in the Abyss; especially those spirits (angels now demons) who disobeyed God in the time of Noah (Gen 6:4).

*For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit; in which also He went and made proclamation to the spirits now in prison, who once were disobedient, when the patience of God kept waiting in the days of Noah, during the construction of the ark, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through the water 1Pe 3:18-20 NASB+

*But the righteousness based on faith says, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ down) or “Who will descend into the abyss?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). Ro 10:7 ESV+

Jesus was symbolized as the goat who would have the sins of the world laid upon Him as He physically died on the cross; then His spiritual being would carry the sins of the world to azale, the leader of these demons in Tartarus; and deposit them in this solitary place.

*but the goat on which the lot fell for Azazel [The meaning of Azazel is uncertain; possibly the name of a pace or demon, traditionally a scapegoat] shall be presented alive before the Lord to make atonement over it, that it may be sent away into the wilderness to Azazel. Lev 16:10 ESV+

Using God’s Word in context we believe “Azazel”   was the leader of the angels who married women, was chained in Tartarus the prison in the Abyss.

Paul confirms Jesus’ spiritual being descended into the Abyss, Peter into Tartarus the prison in the Abyss; after He died on the cross to proclaim His victory over satan, death by depositing the sins of the world there.

*But the righteousness based on faith says, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ down) or “Who will descend into the abyss?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). Ro 10:7 ESV+

*For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit; in which also He went and made proclamation to the spirits now in prisonwho once were disobedient, when the patience of God kept waiting in the days of Noah, during the construction of the ark, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through the water 1Pe 3:18-20 NASB+

Jesus was born on the Day of Atonement, Tishri (Sept/Oct) 10, 5BC; was symbolized as the scapegoat. The scapegoat who would have the sins of the world laid on him; who would carry these sins to Azazel, the angels who sinned (now demons) who are in Tartarus, the prison in the Abyss. And there in the most solitary land on earth, deposit them.

*but the goat on which the lot fell for Azazel shall be presented alive before the Lord to make atonement over it, that it may be sent away into the wilderness to Azazel. Lev 16:10 ESV+

*"The goat shall bear on itself all their iniquities to a solitary land; and he shall release the goat in the wilderness. Lev 16:22 NASB+
